Non-Discrimination Policy

1. Scope of Policy

This non-discrimination policy applies to all areas of school operations, including but not limited to:

• Student admissions, enrollment, class placements, and educational programs.
• Scholarships, financial aid, awards, and educational activities.
• Hiring, employment, compensation, promotion, and staff training practices.
• Access to school facilities, extracurricular events, and community activities.

2. Prohibition of Harassment & Retaliation

MKA Turkish School strictly prohibits any form of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying against students, parents, employees, or job applicants. Retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination or participates in a complaint investigation is illegal and strictly prohibited.

3. Complaint & Investigation Procedure

Any student, parent, employee, or community member who believes they have been subjected to discrimination or harassment in violation of this policy is encouraged to report the incident immediately to the school administration.

All reports will be promptly, thoroughly, and impartially investigated in accordance with school administrative protocols. Confidentiality will be maintained to the maximum extent possible during the investigation process.

4. Reasonable Accommodations

In accordance with federal and state laws (including the Americans with Disabilities Act - ADA), MKA Turkish School is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities or specific religious practices, provided such accommodations do not impose an undue hardship on school operations or compromise safety standards.

5. Limitation of Liability

MKA Turkish School, its board members, administrators, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for unauthorized, independent actions committed by third parties, contractors, or individuals acting outside the scope of their employment or authorization, provided the school takes prompt and appropriate corrective action upon receiving formal notice of an issue.
