Photo & Media Release Policy

1. Scope and Purpose of Media Usage

Media content featuring students, teachers, and school event participants may be published in authorized channels, including but not limited to:

• Official school website (mkaturkishschool.com) and official social media channels.
• School newsletters, annual yearbooks, class presentations, and educational displays.
• Promotional brochures, flyers, press releases, and local community media coverage.

2. Student Identification & Privacy Safeguards

To safeguard minor students' privacy and safety:

• Full names, home addresses, or other personally identifiable contact information will never be published alongside a student's photo without explicit, additional written parental consent.
• Group photos and general classroom activity shots are preferred to minimize individual identification.

3. Consent and Parental Opt-Out Process

Parental consent for media participation is requested during student enrollment. If a parent or legal guardian wishes to withhold consent or request that their child's image not be used in external promotional materials, they must submit a formal, written "Media Opt-Out Request" to the school administration.

Opt-out requests will be processed promptly and applied to future publications; however, they cannot be applied retroactively to already printed materials or distributed publications.

4. Waiver of Compensation & Release of Liability

No financial compensation, royalties, or licensing fees shall be paid to students, parents, or guardians for the creation or publication of authorized media.

By enrolling a student at MKA Turkish School, parents and legal guardians waive any right to inspect or approve finished media products and release MKA Turkish School, its board members, administrators, teachers, and agents from any claims or liabilities arising out of the lawful use of authorized media materials.
